Hi
I've been a good boy eating pure paleo very low carb only from salads-
and doing a lot of exercise -
So Hbac1 now 5.7 and my only meds are 1000 mg metformin daily.
I dont need the metformin as it doesnt seem to matter whether I take
it or not however my doctor says it is important to continue to take
it (something about the kidneys)
Can anyone give me some advice please on whether I shud go completely
meds free?
Thanks
David
That doc is wrong.
Low carb diet and no meds reversed my advanced kidney damage in 1998 and
only improvements to ideal levels ever since.

Your on-going health issues really aren't going away until you, Susan, lose
the disease-causing http://WDJW.net/VAT
This is coming from a doctor who is proven to have http://WDJW.net/NoVAT as
evident by his hsCRP being now undetectable, his HgbA1c being less than 5.0,
**and** his having maximal insulin sensitivity.

Good point I still got a bit of visceral fat and in the process of getting
rid of it ...
The absolutely only **healthy** way is by stopping the overeating
without harmful undernourishment by holding to the right amount which
is 32 oz of daily food:

http://WDJW.net/HealthyPanacea
- inflamation markers (CRP) were good in my last blood test -
A detectable CRP is actually a high hsCRP which is **not** good.

The only good CRP is a non-detectable hsCRP.

The "hs" in hsCRP is "high sensitivity" which means a much lower
threshold for detection.
dont know about Susan . . . .
Susan should know better by now.

32 oz of daily food? Well this is the first I have heard of diet in terms of
overall weight - however because I keep a fairly accurate record of what i
eat and the overall grams - I added it up the individual weight and came to
905 gms (1200 calories) which is almost precisely your figure of 32 ozs!
amazing!

String Beans 150
Various herbs 40
Liver 35
Chicken 160
Mushrooms 140
Onion 40
Cheese 30
Nuts 50
Piece of dark chocolate 10
Raw Salad 250

Adds up to 905 gms or 32 ozs!

Only the http://bit.ly/TerriblyHungry ( http://bit.ly/Gen2532 ) might
"accidently" eat the box while wolfing down the pizza to overeat to be

Thus, it is smarter instead to be http://WDJW.net/WonderfullyHungry (

Yes, right amount ( http://WDJW.net/2PD-OMER Approach ) control as

sophisticated and smarter:

Hi
I've been a good boy eating pure paleo very low carb only from >
salads-
and doing a lot of exercise -
So Hbac1 now 5.7 and my only meds are 1000 mg metformin daily.
I dont need the metformin as it doesnt seem to matter whether I take
it or not however my doctor says it is important to continue to take
it (something about the kidneys)
Can anyone give me some advice please on whether I shud go
completely
meds free?

That doc is wrong.

Don't be so quick to write off Washington state. Olympia Pizza on Queen
Anne ave Seattle has some very very nice pizza. I went there a few times
starting in the 70s when I came down from Canada. Startlingly good

wife makes it with a carbalose crust. Can't get decent eat out pizza in
Kamloops anyway.

I still remember my last piece from Olympia Pizza. 1997,, sigh.

Your still having type-2 diabetes is proof that your dieting (i.e.
avoiding pizza from Olympia Pizza) has not worked over the past 18
years and that the cause is not from the few times of eating pizza
from Olympia Pizza but from eating excess (more that 32 oz/day) food
even now.

I ate a pizza on Easter Monday. Cheese, tomato, anchovies, olives and
capers. Yummy!
I used to give the crust to my cat, but that was not healthy (too salty
I guess), also it made him fart horrEndous-ly.
Now I throw the crust in the bin.

So the cat did not develop type-2 diabetes from the crust, and you
still have type-2 diabetes.

Therefore, the crust does not cause type-2 diabetes.

Instead, what causes type-2 diabetes is excess food (i.e. eating more
than the right amount which is 32 oz per day).

Too much salt in those anchovies for me.

Nothing wrong with a mushroom only pizza, but the pepperoni adds a
spicy, meaty flavor.

I prefer a thin New York-style crust, although years ago, I used to
enjoy a deep-dish Chicago-style pizza having a thicker crust and
multiple layers of cheese. Can't get a true Chicago deep dish pizza
unless one is in Chicago.

I just bought a small package of dried porchini mushrooms. I want to
make a soup with a clear vegetable broth (no cream).

Instructions on the package don't say more than rinse, soak, and cook
the mushrooms.

Anyone have experience preparing dried porchini mushrooms?

32 oz of daily food?
Yes, this really is the right amount.
Post by David
Well this is the first I have heard of diet in terms of
overall weight ...
That would because this is really http://WDJW.net/NotDiet
Post by David
- however because I keep a fairly accurate record of what i
eat and the overall grams - I added it up the individual weight and came to
905 gms (1200 calories) which is almost precisely your figure of 32 ozs!
amazing!
String Beans 150
Various herbs 40
Liver 35
Chicken 160
Mushrooms 140
Onion 40
Cheese 30
Nuts 50
Piece of dark chocolate 10
However, what you describe is a diet (i.e. **what** you eat).

Holding to the right **amount** while allowing variety of **what** we
eat, really is http://WDJW.net/NotDiet

The worry from dieting is itself toxic via the cortisol that Susan is
worried about. This is why Susan is obsessed about Cushings Disease,
which is due to high serum cortisol. It is likely her "Cushings
Disease" would be cured as soon as she stopped dieting.

Yes, right amount ( http://WDJW.net/2PD-OMER Approach ) control as
